The Super Bowl: Best restaurants and bars to watch the game in the OC

January 30th, 2019

The Super Bowl is upon us and the teams have been chosen! And congrats to all the Patriots and Rams fans. It is going to be a great game. Now that we know who is going for the gold, it is time to make your Super Bowl plans. And there is no better way to watch the game than from some of the best sports bars and restaurants in the OC.

Restaurants

Some of us will be looking for a hardy meal over finger foods. That’s where this list comes in.

Cruisers Pizza Bar

First up is Cruisers Pizza Bar. They have two locations. One is in Newport Beach and the other is in Huntington Beach. Regardless of which one you choose, they offer up to 20 TV’s to watch the game. And the pizza menu is out of this world. They even make deep dish pizza!

The Bungalow Huntington Beach

Also in Huntington Beach is The Bungalow. We highly suggest heading here for those looking for a trendy, and cozy ambiance to watch the game. Along with a stellar view of the ocean, chow down on their exclusive menu items in any one of the various vintage, home-style rooms.

The Tavern Bowl

Last on this list is the Tavern Bowl. Take your competitive edge to the next level and bowl while watching the game. An entertainment hot spot, grab a beer and watch the game above your bowling lane. As far as the menu goes, we love their filet tacos, flatbread pizza, and nachos.  Pro-tip: If you choose Tavern Bowl for your Super Bowl festivities, make a reservation.

Super Bowl Bars

Onto our top two bars for those looking to get straight to it with a pint of beer, or four.

Danny K’s Billiards & Sports Bar

Enter into the ESPN Zone screening room over at Danny K’s Billiards & Sports Bar. The bar features multi-game viewings on a 16-foot HD screen surrounded by 12 36-inch monitors. And once again, be sure to arrive early.

Malarky’s Irish Pub

We couldn’t go without mentioning an Irish pub. And for this list, we highly suggest Malarky’s Irish Pub in Newport Beach. The cool thing about this spot is that they serve a kick-off breakfast before you pre-game starting at 7:30 am.

Regardless of where you watch the game, it is going to be a great time! And may the best team win. Also, do not forget, having your own Super Bowl party at Baker Block is always a fantastic option. Good luck everyone!
