Bringing in Independence Day in Orange County

June 28th, 2018

The month of June is coming to an end. With that in mind, we all must begin preparing for the biggest holiday of the Summer. INDEPENDENCE DAY! Since Baker Block is all about keeping you up to date on the latest and greatest events happening in the area, here are some of the best ways to celebrate Independence Day in Orange County.

The Orange County Pacific Symphony

When it comes to the 4th of July, celebrating with live music is a must. For those of you who don’t know, the OC Pacific Symphony brings in the 4th of July with spectacular live music. This year, tunes will be provided by the one and only Chicago cover band Brass Transit. At the Pacific Amphitheatre, you and friends can rock out to some of the classic Chicago hits like “You’re the Inspiration” and “25 or 6 to 4.” You can bet that the night will close out with a dazzling firework display. If that is not enough, all guests are welcome to bring their own picnic meals and blankets as you sit back and enjoy the show. Tickets can sell out quickly so be sure to get yours sooner rather than later.

OC Fair and Events Center

Then there are all the festivities happening at the OC Fair & Events Center. For Independence Day, from 3 PM to 9:30 PM you can enjoy tons of fun and free activities. From food, bounce houses, and pyrotechnics, bringing on July 4th at the OC Fair and Events Center is truly a blast. You can even stop by the Heroes Hall and honor all our veterans who have fought for our freedom. Do know that admission is free and parking is $8 after 5 PM.

Independence Day in Newport Beach

Finally, you can expect Newport Beach to bring in the fourth with some great boat cruises and parades. First up is the Old Glory Boat Parade. From 1 PM to 3:30 PM you can watch tons of magnificent boats sail by the peninsula on the bayfront beaches. Fun and family-friendly, the Old Glory Boat Parade makes for a great and relaxing afternoon Independence Day activity. Then there is the Newport Fireworks and Parade Cruises. With this particular boat parade, you have a variety of cruises to choose from. Happening all day and night, you can float along the water and view 20 miles of gorgeous waterfront estates. For those looking to enjoy some spectacular fireworks, they will be hosting their firework cruise from 7 PM to 9:30 PM.
